Last year when I was pregnant with Kensington I hired a photographer and did the whole maternity picture thing. I’ll be honest though, I think I put too much pressure on the whole deal and ended up hating basically all of them. So this year, between blog pictures, Kensington’s 1 Year Old Pics, and Everett’s newborn pics, I decided not to do the whole Maternity shoot (even though I not-so-secretly really wanted milk bath photos). That being said – I may have
forced asked my husband to take pictures of me when we were at the arboretum last weekend. It’s hard because lets be real – as awesome as I feel pregnant, it doesn’t always make for flattering angles, so HUGE props to my wonderful hubby who took these (after I climbed into clearly marked “no photo” sections of the gardens). LOL
We found this gorgeous Tea House in the arboretum that I just about died at the pretty brick/shutters/doors. I was climbing all up in those restricted gardens to get the right backdrop of this baby bump.
I love the silhouette of this dress from PinkBlush. Even just this simple pic in front of the window – this dress hugged all the right places and made my bump look fabulous. I tend to prefer tight clothes when pregnant (I feel like flow clothes make me look bigger than I actually am) so this tee-shirt dress was perfect.
Then we found these GORGEOUS flowers. All silvers and purples – they were so beautiful I just had to snap a quick pic in front of them. They made the blue of my dress and the red in my hair really stand out. Not to mention man bellay – come on Everett. We know you’re in there.
Then of course in honor of Easter Day I had to get a pic with an Easter egg – since thats basically what’s in my tummy right now. A little baby. From an egg. Get it? Lame I know…
What did you do for your maternity pics? If it’s a milk bath just consider me super jelly.
